Warehouse Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the flow of goods and materials within our warehouse environment. This position requires a strong attention to detail, the ability to operate various warehouse equipment, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and order pickers to move materials throughout the facility. Perform order picking tasks accurately and efficiently, ensuring that items are prepared for shipment or distribution. Assist with shipping and receiving functions, including verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders. Maintain an organized and clean work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock locations. Collaborate with team members to build pallets for shipping and ensure timely delivery of products. Conduct routine inspections of heavy equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Requirements Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems and order picking processes is advantageous. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to maintaining safety standards within the warehouse. Proof of a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
