About the Role The VP of Manufacturing & Distribution Operations works in close partnership with the Director of Supply Chain Development NA to ensure the effective, reliable, and high-quality delivery of products and services to independent optometrists across the United States. This role is accountable for an evolving multi-site operational network currently consisting of two manufacturing facilities, one in Pittsburgh PA and one in Scottsdale AZ, with responsibility for a controllable cost base of approximately $30m and a total workforce of approximately 140 employees. This position carries broad multi-site leadership responsibility, championing company values and behaviors to create a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture. The role enables site leadership teams to deliver on the organization’s long-term mission of improving lives through better sight, with a strong focus on customer experience, people development, operational excellence and sustainable growth. Requirements: Operations Deliver on all IDOC Labs operational plans for in partnership with Sales, Product, Finance, HR and Group Supply Chain Lead organizational change initiatives that support long-term strategic objectives. Drive sustainability, efficiency, and continuous improvement agendas across all sites. Ensure all facilities maintain a safe, compliant, and well-organized working environment for all employees. Hold accountability for overall business performance across manufacturing and distribution operations. Lead M&D capital investment planning and oversee execution of major operational and infrastructure projects. Evaluate and optimize organizational structure, resource allocation, and leadership capability to meet annual and long-term business plans. Report operational KPIs, financial performance, and strategic progress to Director of Supply Chain Development within agreed timelines. Take part and occasionally lead cross-functional projects and strategic programs as required. Leadership Operate effectively within a matrixed organization, demonstrating maturity, collaboration, and strong cross-functional influence.
