Vice President of Institutional Partnerships Company: Newlight Technologies Employment Type: Full-Time Position Overview Newlight Technologies is seeking an accomplished Vice President of Institutional Partnerships to lead strategic relationships with global brands, manufacturers, supply chain partners, and organizations committed to advancing regenerative and lower-carbon materials. The Vice President of Institutional Partnerships will be responsible for building long-term partnerships that accelerate the adoption and commercialization of Aircarbon® across major industries. This executive will work closely with Commercial, Manufacturing, Product, Technology, Sustainability, and senior leadership to develop scalable partnerships and expand Newlight’s institutional ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute Newlight’s institutional partnership strategy. Build executive-level relationships with global brands, manufacturers, and strategic corporate partners. Identify partnerships that accelerate adoption of Aircarbon® across major product categories. Develop long-term relationships with packaging, foodservice, consumer products, retail, and materials organizations. Build partnerships with polymer manufacturers, converters, product manufacturers, and supply chain organizations. Develop strategic alliances supporting scaled production and commercialization of Aircarbon. Lead complex institutional partnership negotiations and long-term commercial agreements. Identify opportunities to integrate Aircarbon into partner products and supply chains. Develop joint commercialization strategies with major corporate partners. Build relationships with organizations focused on climate, circularity, and sustainable materials. Expand partnerships across the Aircarbon Alliance ecosystem. Identify strategic opportunities with companies seeking to reduce dependence on conventional petroleum-based materials. Partner with Product and Technology teams to align material capabilities with institutional customer requirements. Work with Manufacturing and Operations to evaluate production requirements for major partnerships. Develop institutional strategies supporting foodware, packaging, and additional material applications. Identify opportunities to expand Aircarbon into new industries and geographic markets. Develop partnership frameworks involving product development, testing, manufacturing, and commercialization. Coordinate joint development initiatives with strategic customers and technology partners. Partner with Finance to evaluate partnership economics, commercial structures, and long-term value. Develop business cases for major institutional opportunities. Establish KPIs covering partnership pipeline, commercial adoption, account expansion, and strategic program performance. Lead executive-level partner reviews and long-term strategic planning. Monitor biomaterials, packaging, manufacturing, climate technology, and circular economy trends. Build and develop a high-performing institutional partnerships organization. Provide executive leadership with partnership intelligence, market opportunities, and strategic recommendations. Qualifications 15+ years of progressive experience in institutional partnerships, strategic partnerships, business development, materials, manufacturing, or related commercial roles. 6+ years of senior leadership experience. Strong experience in climate technology, biomaterials, advanced materials, chemicals, packaging, manufacturing, or consumer products . Proven track record developing complex strategic partnerships with major corporations. Experience working with global brands, manufacturers, or large institutional customers. Strong understanding of B2B materials commercialization and industrial supply chains. Experience developing joint development, manufacturing, or commercialization partnerships.
