Vice President, Procurement, Americas

Location: Westerville, OH (Americas HQ) | In-office Reports To: Regional President, Americas Region: Americas (United States, Mexico, Latin America) Job Level: Vice President. POSITION SUMMARY The Vice President, Procurement — Americas provides strategic and operational leadership for all procurement activities across the United States, Mexico, and Latin America. This executive is accountable for category management (direct and indirect), strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, procurement business leads, procurement systems and analytics, and materials and manufacturing planning across the region. The role drives cost optimization, supply chain resilience, and operational excellence while supporting Vertiv's growth objectives and global procurement strategy KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute the Americas regional procurement strategy in alignment with Vertiv's global procurement vision and standardized processes with global to local adjustments. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing procurement organization spanning the US, Mexico, and LATAM, including Directors of Category Management (Direct and Indirect), Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Performance Management, Procurement Business Leads, and Procurement Systems & Analytics. Own regional procurement P&L accountability, including cost savings targets, spend management, and total cost of ownership optimization across all Americas manufacturing and service operations. Implement and govern the BOM Health Program within the Americas region, securing supporting resources for risk reduction projects across Operations, Engineering, and related functions. Lead supply chain risk and resiliency efforts across the Americas, including supply disruption mitigation, dual-sourcing strategies, and geopolitical risk management for US, Mexico, and LATAM operations. Drive tariff strategy, compliance, and execution including HTS code management, country-of-origin tracking, Section 232 tariff assessment, and supplier tariff charge validation across all Americas purchase orders. Oversee strategic supplier relationships and negotiate master supply agreements, category contracts, and long-term partnership frameworks with key suppliers across the region. Champion procurement digital transformation initiatives including procurement systems, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities to drive data-driven decision-making. Support New Product Development and Introduction (NPDI) projects by ensuring procurement readiness and meeting Gate 5 risk targets for new product launches. Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Operations, and Quality leadership to ensure procurement supports Vertiv's operational and commercial objectives. Ensure compliance with Vertiv's Global Purchasing Card Policy, Anti-Corruption Policy, Supply Chain Direct Material Purchases Approval policy, and all applicable procurement policies and procedures. Manage procurement operations across key Americas locations including Westerville OH, Columbus OH, Delaware OH, Lombard IL, Lincoln NE, Anderson SC, Monterrey MX, Reynosa MX, Tijuana MX, Mexicali MX, and Guadalajara MX, as well as emerging LATAM facilities. QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field. 15+ years of progressive procurement or supply chain leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role (VP or Senior Director level). Demonstrated experience leading procurement operations across multiple countries, with specific expertise in US and Mexico manufacturing environments. Deep expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, supplier performance management, and contract negotiation for direct and indirect materials.
