Vice President of Refrigerated Transportation

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Refrigerated Transportation to lead our strategic initiatives and operational excellence within the refrigerated logistics sector. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive strategic plans to expand market share and enhance service offerings in refrigerated transportation. Lead and manage large-scale operational teams, including fleet management, logistics coordinators, and support staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Oversee budgeting processes at an executive level, ensuring alignment with company goals while maintaining operational efficiency and financial health. Collaborate across departments—sales, operations, safety, finance—to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and implement innovative solutions. Drive data-driven decision-making by analyzing operational metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for process improvements and revenue growth. Negotiate contracts with carriers, suppliers, and key stakeholders to secure favorable terms that support business objectives. Lead business development efforts by identifying new markets and partnership opportunities to expand the division’s footprint. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards while managing risk across all operations. Qualifications Proven management experience within the transportation or logistics industry, specifically in refrigerated or temperature-sensitive freight operations. Demonstrated success in executive leadership roles with a focus on strategic management and operational oversight. Strong project management skills with the ability to lead complex initiatives from conception through execution. Expertise in financial management including budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis for informed decision-making. Excellent verbal communication skills suited for engaging with executives, clients, carriers, and internal teams at all levels. Experience in cross-functional collaboration across sales, operations, safety, finance, and business development teams. Ability to develop high-performing teams through effective leadership, coaching, and team development strategies. Knowledge of industry regulations related to transportation safety standards and compliance requirements.
