Vessel Agent

As a Vessel Agent with our company, you will play a crucial role in coordinating vessel operations. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth arrival, departure, and overall efficiency of vessels by boarding them using launch boats. Your knowledge and expertise in vessel agency practices will be utilized to provide exceptional service to our clients. A Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is an essential requirement for this role. Responsibilities Board vessels by launch boats to provide comprehensive vessel agency services. Coordinate vessel arrival and departure activities, including port clearances, documentation, and regulatory compliance. Liaise with vessel captains, crew members, port authorities, and various stakeholders to ensure efficient vessel operations. Facilitate communication and information exchange between vessel owners, operators, and port authorities. Arrange necessary services for vessels, such as pilotage, tugboat assistance, and dockside operations. Monitor vessel movements, cargo handling, and compliance with safety regulations. Handle administrative tasks related to vessel agency operations, including documentation, reporting, and billing. Requirements: Qualifications Previous experience as a Vessel Agent with a strong understanding of vessel agency practices and procedures. Proficient knowledge of maritime regulations, port operations, and vessel documentation. Ability to board vessels using launch boats, ensuring safety and adherence to standard operating procedures. Possession of a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card is mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Strong organizational abilities with a keen eye for detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in using computer systems and software applications for data management and documentation. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate vessel schedules and emergencies.
