Vehicle transporter

Overview We are currently seeking to fill a much need position at IA Recon a Vehicle Transporter, you will be responsible for taking vehicles safely and reliably across local routes to and from local & distant car dealerships that Iowa Auto Recon provides service to. All transporters use GPS navigation, communicate clearly with direct management or clients and follow traffic and state transportation regulations. Your impact: Safe, dependable transportation of freshly detailed or repaired vehicles with the goal of delivering a clean and lot ready vehicle to each dealership we provide service to. Responsibilities Drive vehicles, vans, trucks, sedans large passenger vans, or passenger vans; assignments include; upon delivery wiping down the vehicle of any bugs or debris or foot traffic. deliver vehicle to manager/ sales notifying them of the completed vehicle Follow assigned local driving routes and use GPS navigation to plan and adjust trips. Provide courteous customer service and keep clients informed about pickup times, route changes, and arrival. Perform manual handling and heavy lifting when needed to load, secure, or move vehicles and related items. Complete basic vehicle maintenance checks and report issues promptly. Experience Driving experience is essential, including safe driving and adherence to traffic regulations. Delivery driver, van driver, commercial driving, or personal vehicle delivery experience is useful. Bus driving, school bus driving, shuttle driving, passenger vehicle operation, or passenger van operation experience is a plus. Medical transportation, paratransit, or chauffeur driving experience is preferred. Strong communication skills, client communication, safe manual handling, and familiarity with state transportation regulations are valued.
