Trucking Service Assistant

Job Summary Mint Julep Experiences - Louisville is seeking a reliable and organized Trucking Service Assistant to support daily transportation and trucking operations. The ideal candidate will assist with coordinating vehicle schedules, preparing transportation documentation, communicating with drivers and team members, and helping ensure that assigned service activities are completed safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities Assist with coordinating daily trucking schedules and transportation assignments. Support dispatch activities, route planning, and delivery arrangements. Communicate with drivers, customers, and team members regarding schedules and service updates. Help prepare and verify transportation paperwork, delivery records, and trip documentation. Monitor assigned transportation activities and report delays or operational concerns. Assist with tracking vehicle availability and reporting maintenance needs. Maintain accurate mileage logs, trip records, and service documentation. Help organize loading and unloading activities when required. Ensure assigned work areas and transportation equipment remain clean and organized. Respond professionally to routine customer and service inquiries. Follow company procedures and applicable transportation and workplace safety regulations. Provide general administrative and operational support to the transportation team. Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, dispatch, or customer service is an advantage. Strong communication and organizational skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with recordkeeping or scheduling systems. Good attention to detail and time-management abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a team environment. Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude. Ability to perform assigned physical tasks safely. Valid driver's license or relevant commercial driving credentials if driving is part of the assigned duties. Work Environment This position may involve working in an office, transportation facility, vehicle yard, or loading area. Duties may include regular communication with drivers and logistics personnel, occasional outdoor work, and support for daily trucking activities.
