This is a full-time, onsite position based in Odessa, Texas . While the Operations Coordinator works from our Odessa location, the drivers they support operate on long-haul, interstate routes nationwide. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in trucking operations, driver coordination, transportation logistics, or dispatch support and understands the challenges of managing drivers traveling across multiple states. This role requires someone who is highly organized, communicates effectively with professional truck drivers, and can coordinate moving parts across a national transportation operation. Candidates with experience as a Trucking Operations Coordinator, OTR Dispatch Coordinator, Fleet Coordinator, Transportation Coordinator, Logistics Coordinator, or Trucking Operations Specialist are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily operations for OTR and long-haul truck drivers operating on interstate routes throughout the United States. Communicate with drivers nationwide regarding schedules, assignments, routes, delivery updates, and operational needs. Monitor driver status, trip progress, transportation schedules, and delivery timelines. Support dispatch operations, load coordination, route scheduling, and transportation planning. Assist drivers with scheduling conflicts, transportation delays, and day-to-day operational challenges. Maintain accurate driver records, trip documentation, operational logs, and transportation reports. Coordinate with dispatchers, fleet management, and internal teams to ensure efficient trucking operations. Track driver availability, equipment status, and transportation needs across multiple states. Support compliance with company procedures and applicable DOT and FMCSA transportation regulations. Help resolve operational issues involving drivers, routes, equipment, or delivery schedules. Provide regular operational updates to management and assist with improving fleet efficiency. Maintain consistent communication with drivers operating across different regions and time zones. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience in the trucking industry , specifically working with OTR or long-haul truck drivers. Experience supporting trucking operations, transportation logistics, dispatch coordination, or fleet operations. Understanding of long-haul trucking operations, interstate transportation, and the daily challenges faced by OTR drivers. Strong communication skills and experience working directly with professional truck drivers. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to manage changing schedules, resolve problems, and prioritize operational needs. Proficiency with computers, spreadsheets, and general office software. Ability to work independently and collaborate with dispatch, drivers, and management. Must be able to work onsite in Odessa, TX, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM. Preferred Qualifications Experience coordinating a nationwide fleet of OTR or long-haul drivers. Familiarity with DOT regulations, FMCSA requirements, and driver hours-of-service (HOS). Experience using transportation management systems (TMS), GPS fleet tracking, electronic logging devices (ELDs), or dispatch software.
