TRUCK / TRAILER MECHANIC

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck / Trailer Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment to ensure optimal safety, performance, and compliance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on trucks and trailers Conduct mechanical systems repairs including suspensions, brakes, hydraulics, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to repair or modify vehicle components. Maintain and repair vehicle electrical systems such as lighting and sensors. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure vehicles meet safety standards and regulatory compliance. Assist with assembly or disassembly of vehicle parts during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or Truck / Trailer Mechanic within a dealership or fleet maintenance environment. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and metalworking for custom repairs or modifications. Experience working with tractor-trailers or large commercial vehicles is highly desirable. Mechanical aptitude combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues quickly and accurately. Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy truck repair including proper lifting techniques for heavy lifting tasks.
