Truck Mechanic (NOC 72410)

We are seeking a skilled an experienced Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty trucks, truck-trailers, and heavy spec equipment. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The Truck Mechanic will ensure all vehicles and equipment operate safely and reliably to support our operational needs. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, truck-trailers, and heavy equipment including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and air systems Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical expertise Utilize hand tools and power tools to complete repairs Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals for complex systems Perform alignment procedures to ensure proper vehicle operation Conduct safety inspections to identify potential issues before breakdowns occur Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems and truck-trailers including chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, and fuel, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems Perform service calls when needed Requirements Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a mechanic with heavy-duty vehicles and equipment Comfortable and experienced working on trucks that are dirty, dusty, or exposed to heavy use, including performing routine maintenance and repairs. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems Skilled in automotive repair diagnostics using modern tools and schematics Experience with vehicle maintenance including tire service and alignment procedures Mechanical aptitude for assembly and equipment repair tasks Electrical experience including troubleshooting wiring issues and soldering skills Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform heavy lifting tasks regularly Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members involved in service processes This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery in a dynamic environment.
