Job Summary We are seeking a highly organized Fleet Manager to oversee the efficient operation and management of our vehicle fleet. In this role, you will coordinate truck preventative maintenance scheduling & repairs, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain seamless communication with vendors and drivers. Duties Oversee daily fleet operations to maximize efficiency and reduce costs. Utilize our transportation management system to monitor fleet performance and streamline logistics processes Manage GPS system to track vehicle locations, optimize routes, and improve overall transportation planning. Ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and internal safety policies across all fleet activities. Maintain accurate data entry records related to vehicle maintenance, driver logs, fuel consumption, and other operational metrics Lead vehicle maintenance scheduling and monitor fleet health to ensure safety standards are met. Foster effective communication among drivers, operators, laborers, and suppliers/vendors to ensure seamless coordination. Analyze transportation data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. Qualifications Proven experience in fleet management or transportation planning within a logistics or supply chain environment. Strong knowledge of road transportation operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight management. Familiarity with transportation management systems Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting. Strong communication skills—both verbal and written—and phone etiquette for interacting with drivers, vendors, customers, and internal teams. Knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirements related to vehicle operation and safety standards. Experience with GPS tracking systems is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
