Truck Driver/Laborer - Public Works
Town of JayThe Town of Jay is looking for a motivated, hardworking individual to join our Public Works team as a Truck Driver/Laborer . This is a full-time, year-round position with benefits and the chance to be part of a dedicated crew that keeps our community moving. Schedule & Benefits Starting pay $24.76 Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM (Some overtime required) Full benefits package (Medical, Retirement, Vacation/Holidays, etc.) Regular plow route through the winter What You’ll Do - Every day brings something new! Duties include but are not limited to: Operating light and heavy trucks & equipment Road maintenance, patching, brush trimming & mowing Snow & ice removal in winter Attendant at the Transfer Station Transporting and processing materials And other hands-on projects that keep our town running smoothly What We’re Looking For Class B CDL & clean driving record required (Class A preferred, or willingness to obtain) Ability to lift heavy objects and work outdoors in all types of weather Team player with good communication skills & public interaction ability Willingness to be on call during winter storms Must live within 15 miles of Jay Public Works Garage Experience helpful - but we’ll train the right candidate!
