Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics professionals. In this role, you will operate a variety of box trucks, 26 and 16 feet. CDL is not required, but is welcome. Your clean driving record and expertise in safe driving, cargo handling, and adherence to federal and state regulations will ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced drivers passionate about navigating mostly local routes, with occasional tri state destinations, including fine, high end objects, primarily artworks. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to safety and efficiency, we want to hear from you! Duties Safely operate 16-26 foot box commercial trucks. Load and unload cargo with manual handling techniques while ensuring cargo is secured properly according to logistics cargo handling standards. Transport various types of freight including diverse objects of high value and fragility. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle inspections and delivery records in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met; report any mechanical issues promptly. Load & unload at multiple locations, ensuring proper handling of varied cargo types. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on pickup and delivery driving. Strong emphasis on care for cargo and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading. Skilled in using GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning. Excellent manual handling skills for safe load & unload procedures while maintaining cargo integrity. Valid and clean driver’s license (CDL not required, but welcome) with endorsements relevant to the cargo transported; experience with delivery driver roles preferred. As a company that handles a great deal of artworks and other delicate inventories, we will also train this applicant to fulfill some of the specialty skills that are particular to this type of inventory.
