Overview Join our dynamic transportation team as a Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across various routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you will be responsible for transporting goods over the road (OTR), managing cargo handling, and maintaining excellent customer service throughout each delivery. Seeking Class A driver with 3 months or more verifiable tractor trailer experience to delivery local freight for dedicated customer. This is a no touch position. This position is a mix live unloads, drop and hooks. M-F occasional layovers home daily. Hourly pay $27.00 per hour also including in pay border crossing pay and layover pay. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, following all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Plan and execute over-the-road (OTR) driving routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries. Load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to proper manual handling procedures and cargo safety protocols. Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods in compliance with hazardous materials regulations and safety standards. Manage logistics cargo handling tasks such as securing loads, inspecting cargo for damage, and ensuring proper documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or delays. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and compliance with DOT regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazmat, tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation preferred. Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and manual handling techniques. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for truck loading/unloading. Experience operating GPS navigation systems for route planning and navigation. Ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Strong driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service excellence. Physical ability to load/unload freight as needed and perform manual handling tasks safely.
