Truck Driver

Overview As a Truck Driver, you’ll move freight safely and reliably across local and over-the-road (OTR) routes. You’ll operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, and may transport cargo using flatbeds, or a chip trailer , depending on the assignment. Your work keeps deliveries moving and helps customers receive cargo in good condition. This is a day-cab and it is a standard so applicants will need to have an unrestricted commercial license. Your impact: Safe, timely delivery helps customers and receiving teams plan their work and handle freight with confidence. Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles on assigned delivery and route-driving schedules, using GPS navigation to follow routes and adjust as needed. Inspect vehicles and cargo before, during, and after trips; report safety concerns, damage, or delays. Load and unload freight, and secure cargo for transport. Follow Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations, as well as hazardous materials and dangerous goods requirements when applicable. Handle freight such as automobiles and other cargo according to the equipment and procedures assigned. Qualifications Required: Valid commercial driving credentials appropriate to the vehicle and cargo; safe truck-driving practices and familiarity with manual transmission. Required: Ability to perform delivery driving, truck loading (chip trailer). Preferred: Delivery driver experience, commercial truck driving, commercial driving, or OTR route experience. Preferred: Experience with logistics cargo handling and freight, chip trailer, flatbed or tanker equipment. Hazmat (hazardous materials) experience or knowledge is preferred; ability to follow applicable regulations is essential when transporting regulated cargo.
