Duties Safely operate different types of trucks including tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and ensure timely arrivals. ensuring proper cargo securing according to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety, including checking for compliance with FMCSA regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in adherence to FMCSA and DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate deliveries, report issues, and update route progress. Ensure truck loading and unloading are performed efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Handle documentation related to freight, load manifests, delivery receipts, and hazardous materials paperwork. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on freight delivery across diverse routes. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments.
