Local FedEx Ground Short Haul Truck Driver- No Touch Freight- Home Daily Pay starts out at .60 cents per mile. Interested parties must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record. CDL Class A License with Doubles/Triples Endorsment . Candidates are preferred to have driving experience (one year verifiable CDL experience within the past 3 years or 5 years within the last 10 years) or willing to take driving course by 3rd party vendor. A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is preferred. The candidate must be able to pass a D.O.T. physical Drug screen MVR and Criminal background check. Responsibilities Perform daily pre-trip/post-trip safety inspection on all equipment Verify and complete required documentation and reports Comply with hazardous material regulations and procedures Follow dispatch instructions and communicate with dispatch as required, including but not limited to: delays, arrivals and equipment problems Communicate with customers to determine pick-up or delivery needs Demonstrate internal and external customer service Comply with all applicable laws/ regulations, safety standards, as well as company policies/procedure Travel to various areas within a region Looking for dependable, self-starters willing to work hard and be rewarded for their efforts Qualifications Action oriented, listening, functional/ technical skills, integrity and trust, perseverance, time management, patience, peer relationships, customer focus, standing alone, composure. Technical and functional Good verbal and written communication skills Ability to prioritize, manage and perform multiple tasks simultaneously Basic Computer knowledge preferred Ability to meet and/or exceed the established customer service objectives Must have valid CDL driver’s license in the state where residing Ability to perform basic math, with or without a calculator Ability to manage stressful situations. Ability to operate a manual transmission if needed. Required Physical Abilities Ability to lift/maneuver trailer dolly.
