Ensure proper loading and unloading of freight while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery times while considering traffic patterns and road conditions. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage. Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transport. Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding truck driving and transportation. Requirements Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proven experience as a truck driver with knowledge of route driving and freight handling. Familiarity tractor-trailer operations is preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Effective communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
