Truck Driver Class A

Trowbridge Steel Company specializes in the fabrication of reinforcing steel used in concrete construction. Position Summary The Driver will be responsible for driving and assisting in loading/unloading trucks carrying steel. These will be local short-haul loads where you will have the opportunity to be home every night. The successful candidate for this position will have a valid Class A license. They will have a sound knowledge of safe driving practices and standard operating procedures. Core Duties Flatbed experience and experience hauling steel would be preferred Delivering loads via straight or articulated trucks to customers Driving trucks around the yard Strapping down loads and other general production duties as required Sound Knowledge of safe driving practices and standard operating procedures Must be able to work rotating shifts Experience Must have a certified Virginia State Class A license 2+ years experience truck driving preferred Job Type: Full-time Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Experience: Driving: 2 years (Preferred) License/Certification: CDL A (Required) Work Location: On the road
