Responsibilities Safely operate Class 1 flatbed trucks for long-haul or local deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Secure and inspect freight on flatbeds, ensuring proper load distribution and stability during transit Use forklifts or other heavy equipment to load and unload cargo efficiently and safely Conduct routine vehicle inspections, perform basic automotive repairs when necessary, and report any mechanical issues promptly Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate schedules and resolve any delivery issues quickly Assist with warehouse operations as needed, including freight handling and inventory management Requirements Valid Class 1 (Commercial Driver’s License) with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed trucks or heavy equipment operation Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of freight handling procedures and securing loads on flatbeds Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road Strong physical stamina for loading/unloading cargo and performing vehicle inspections Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to safety compliance This role offers an engaging environment where your skills make a tangible impact.
