Truck Driver - Class 1

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Truck Driver - Class 1 to join our crew. Primary truck type is Gravel with occasional Water Truck, Bin Truck or Walking Floor operation. This is a part time as required position. Ideal for a semi-retired individual who would like a day here or week there type of position. Local candidates only. All others will be ignored. Class 1 only. Class 3 or lower will be ignored. Duties Safely operate Class 1 commercial trucks to transport materials over long and short distances, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security. Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and co-workers. Perform basic repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle reliability and safety Follow all safety protocols related to freight handling, vehicle operation, and equipment use Requirements Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with heavy equipment operation experience Ability to operate wheel loaders and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety standards for transporting goods Basic repair skills for troubleshooting vehicle issues on the road or at the yard Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively. Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 – 50.0 per week Work Location: In person
