Truck Driver - Class 1

Duties: - Safely operate a commercial truck to transport goods and materials to designated locations - Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, such as forklifts - Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving and ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods - Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks, such as checking tire pressure, oil levels, and brakes - Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or delays - Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any concerns or issues Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a commercial truck driver - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record - Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures - Experience operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts or cranes - Familiarity with freight handling and loading/unloading procedures Skills: - Proficient in operating commercial trucks and adhering to all safety regulations - Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records - Excellent communication skills to interact with dispatchers, customers, and team members effectively - Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects and sitting for extended periods of time during long-haul trips Please note that this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
