Inland Steel Products is looking for a Dispatcher to keep our trucks, drivers, and materials moving safely and on time. Your organization, communication, and commitment to safety will be key to supporting our team and our customers. Why You Will Love this Role As our Dispatcher, you won't just be assigning loads. You will be at the centre of our logistics operations at our Lloydminster facility. You will coordinate trucking, partner with drivers, maintenance, and third-party carriers, and find better ways to get the job done. This varied role blends dispatch and scheduling, fleet and asset tracking, and reporting. You will help shape how our logistics function runs as this role grows with the organization. Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday Key Responsibilities Dispatch and Scheduling Dispatch, schedule, and support company drivers Coordinate daily trucking requests and shipments Schedule third-party trucking and couriers using the most cost-effective and reliable options Communicate with drivers throughout each shift on load status, delays, and route changes, so that pickups and deliveries are safe and on time Maintain dispatch logs and records of loads, routes, and driver assignments Safety and Regulatory Compliance Monitor hours of service and assist with tracking and documentation Assist with maintaining the company's SGI carrier profile Acquire and oversee permits for logistics operations Track expiry dates for driver certifications and training, and coordinate driver profile updates with Human Resources Lead regular driver meetings, and deliver, coordinate, and document logistics training Participate in and promote our safety program, building a culture of safety awareness and best practices across the team Fleet, Assets, and Maintenance Track and monitor all logistics assets, and keep them accurately recorded in our logistics management applications Support the maintenance department by coordinating internal and third-party repairs and preventative maintenance to minimize disruption Use logistics management applications and other technology to analyze equipment utilization What We Offer Competitive salary, comprehensive benefits package, and a matching retirement savings plan Career development, continuous learning, and growth opportunities A safety-first workplace Company events and social functions Qualifications Experience in trucking dispatch, logistics coordination, or transportation operations Knowledge of The Traffic Safety Act , The Highways and Transportation Act, 1997 , and related regulations, including National Safety Code, hours-of-service, and permitting requirements Experience with electronic logging device (ELD) programs Knowledge of trucking and dispatch best practices Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to stay solution-focused when plans change Ability to plan your own workload, take initiative, and adapt to shifting priorities Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and strong attention to detail Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and logistics management software Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with drivers, a diverse workforce, and employees at all levels of the organization Ready to Keep Things Moving?
