Truck Driver

Job Overview Class A or B Manual Transmission Local deliveries Flatbed hauling of construction material. Driver unloads at delivery site Monday-Friday. Home nights and weekends. Duties Safely operate different types of trucks including tractor-trailers,, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and truck mounted forklifts to deliver freight across Central Ohio. Load and unload cargo with precision, ensuring all items are secured properly for transit. Navigate route driving efficiently while adhering to traffic laws, company policies, and safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition, including checking brakes, lights, tires, and load security. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Operate additional equipment such as forklifts when necessary for loading or unloading material. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on freight transportation and delivery routes. Skilled in handling various truck types including manual transmission vehicles, flatbeds, dump trucks, and truck mounted forklifts Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety procedures. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while maintaining cargo integrity. Experience with route planning and navigation tools to optimize delivery times. Familiarity with operating auxiliary equipment like forklifts is a plus. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients.
