Contact us (773) 226-4442 Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers on over-the-road (OTR) routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Plan and follow efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries across multiple locations Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securement for hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable Transport automobile transportation or freight that requires specialized handling such as hazardous materials or hazardous goods Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify truck safety, including checking for mechanical issues, load security, and compliance with hazardous materials regulations Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports following FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during transit Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a focus on route driving and delivery driving Hands-on experience with truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for various cargo types such as refrigerated goods or hazardous materials Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols related to dangerous goods transportation Experience operating different types of trucks such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers is preferred Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the cargo transported (e.g., Hazmat endorsement if applicable) Ability to handle manual transmission vehicles confidently and perform manual handling tasks efficiently Join us to drive your career forward!
