In this vital role, you will operate various types of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Your expertise in navigating over-the-road (OTR) routes, managing logistics cargo handling, and adhering to safety regulations will keep our operations running smoothly. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across designated routes Use GPS navigation systems to plan and follow efficient delivery routes while complying with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring proper cargo securement for hazardous materials or dangerous goods when applicable Transport automobile parts or other freight over long distances, maintaining accurate delivery schedules Adhere strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of transportation Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with safety standards Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, cargo manifests, and delivery documentation in accordance with FMCSA regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered on the road Qualifications Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving roles Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements for hazardous materials (Hazmat), tanker, or refrigerated trailer operation preferred Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Knowledge of truck loading and unloading procedures, including freight handling for logistics cargo handling Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning for over-the-road (OTR) driving routes Strong understanding of DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazard management procedures Experience with load securement techniques for various types of freight such as flatbed or tanker loads Ability to manually handle cargo safely while complying with safety standards for dangerous goods or hazardous materials Excellent driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over the years Embark on a rewarding career where your driving expertise fuels our success!
