Overview Join our dynamic team as a Truck Driver and become a vital part of our logistics network! In this energetic role, you will operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, to transport freight efficiently and safely across diverse routes. Your expertise in handling refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and hazardous materials will ensure timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties Safely operate commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes. Load and unload freight with manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly according to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations. Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation tools to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption. Transport hazardous materials (Hazmat) following all hazardous materials regulations and dangerous goods handling procedures. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and maintain vehicle safety standards. Load and unload freight accurately, verifying cargo against shipping documents and ensuring proper documentation for hazardous or special goods. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or safety concerns during transit. Experience Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments. Hands-on experience with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or other specialized equipment preferred. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations essential for safe operation. Skilled in manual transmission driving and tractor-trailer operation for diverse cargo types. Demonstrated ability to handle logistics cargo handling tasks such as load & unload procedures safely and efficiently. Experience with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time navigation adjustments. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the type of freight transported; Hazmat certification is a plus but not mandatory at the outset.
