Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Truck Driver to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport heavy equipment across designated routes. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes while adhering to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Plan routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules and fuel efficiency. Load and unload heavy equipment, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transport.. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips; report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure safety standards are met. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery times, provide updates, and resolve any logistical issues promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving . Familiarity with manual transmission trucks and truck loading/unloading procedures. Strong understanding of DOT regulations, FMCSA guidelines, hazardous materials regulations, and safety standards for truck driving. Skilled in GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time traffic updates. Excellent manual handling skills for load & unload tasks; physically capable of managing heavy equipment in various conditions.
