Truck Dispatcher / Logistics Coordinator Company: St. Helens Meat Packers Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Job Overview We are looking for an organized, energetic and hands-on individual to coordinate our daily city and domestic trucking operations. This is a fast-paced position requiring someone who is proactive, quick-thinking and able to manage changing priorities while keeping daily deliveries running smoothly. An important part of this position is ensuring trucks are organized, loaded and dispatched early each morning in a timely manner. Responsibilities Coordinate daily city and domestic trucking operations, maximizing truck capacity and available space. Organize and monitor daily dispatch, ensuring trucks are loaded and departing on schedule each morning. Monitor truck movements and maintain regular communication with drivers throughout the day. Coordinate customer delivery appointments and ensure scheduled deliveries are met. Respond to driver issues and unexpected situations on the road. Ensure drivers follow company procedures and transportation compliance requirements. Maintain communication with logistics, sales and management. Qualifications Previous experience in trucking, transportation or dispatch preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Good problem-solving abilities and ability to think quickly. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Computer proficiency. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Refrigerated transportation experience would be an asset. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is present, engaged and actively involved in the daily operation. Someone who takes initiative, pays attention to detail and understands the importance of keeping trucks moving and deliveries on schedule. An early morning start is an essential requirement of this position.
