Summit Truck BodyHave experience repairing commercial truck bodies or trailers? We’d like to hear from you. Summit Body & Equipment is seeking an experienced technician for our Kent service center. This position focuses on repairing damaged commercial truck boxes and trailers, including doors, floors, and side panels. We’re looking for someone who can assess damage, determine the repairs needed, and complete quality work using the tools of the trade. Direct truck body or trailer repair experience is required. What You’ll Do Inspect damaged truck bodies and trailers and identify necessary repairs. Repair or replace doors, flooring, side panels, and related body components. Perform routine welding associated with body and trailer repairs. Complete repairs on dry van bodies, refrigerated bodies, utility bodies, and specialty equipment. Follow repair instructions and accurately document completed work on repair orders. Work with the Service Supervisor to meet shop quality and efficiency expectations. Use tools and equipment safely and keep your work area organized. What We’re Looking For Hands-on experience repairing commercial truck bodies, box trucks, or trailers. Ability to repair or replace body components—not just perform general vehicle maintenance. Welding skills applicable to truck body and trailer repair. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in the trade. Your own tools appropriate for the work. Ability to identify defects, follow repair procedures, and check the quality of your completed work. Dependable attendance, good time management, and the ability to work cooperatively with the shop team. Work Environment This is a physically demanding shop position involving standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and handling materials. Some work takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions.
