Description

We are currently searching for a Transportation Technologist in our Edmonton office. 

The successful candidate will work with engineers and other technologists to provide construction inspection and design services for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on highways, roads, and transportation-related infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and develop your skills in many areas.

Your responsibilities will include:
•    Conducting Site investigations, preparing project designs, and preparation of tender documents for road rehabilitation projects for Alberta Transportation and 
      Economic Corridors. 
•    Experience with Construction supervision and contract administration.
•    QA/QC of Reports, Quantity Estimates, and Construction drawings. 
•    Design collaboration and ensuring implementation and compliance of company and client CAD standards and procedures within the scope of assigned projects. 
•    Assisting other Technologists, Designers, and Engineers.



Requirements

What you will bring:
•    A Civil Engineering Technology diploma from an accredited technical college
•    6+ years of progressive experience in design and construction of roadways projects
•    Experience with highway rehabilitation design and construction for Alberta Transportation and Economic Corridors. 
•    Proficiency in roadway design using AutoCAD and Civil 3D an asset. 
•    Experience with quantity calculations and cost estimating required. Tender document preparation experience is an asset
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to think quickly
•    Committed team player with the ability to work independently
•    Valid driver’s license
•    Ability to travel within Canada
