The position:

As the Assistant Warehouse Manager, you play a vital role in ensuring our warehouse and delivery operations run smoothly and efficiently, supporting Trail Appliances’ commitment to exceptional customer service. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll help oversee daily operations, coordinate delivery routes, and provide hands-on leadership to the team. With a focus on safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, you’ll train and support staff while maintaining the high standards and collaborative spirit that define who we are as a company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely, cost-effective service while coordinating closely with warehouse operations.
  • Train, coach, and support delivery staff to uphold company standards for safety, performance, and customer service.
  • Assist with daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and order fulfillment.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety by enforcing protocols, conducting inspections, and addressing hazards promptly.
  • Provide operational support and leadership during peak periods or in the absence of the Warehouse Manager to ensure seamless operations.

What you need to be successful:

  • Proven supervisory or management experience, ideally in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coaching skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems, inventory software, and basic computer applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and maintain a safe, efficient, and organized work environment.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced setting.

Availability:

This is a full-time position and will require you to be available:
Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 6:00pm
Some weekend availability required as needed.
