Nature of Work **Disclaimer-this position will be considered classified-exempt and “at will.” The Transportation Program Manager 2 leads the Performance Management Unit at the District 4 Headquarters in Harrison county, overseeing a team of 2 to 5 employees responsible for tracking district project performance, budgets, and maintenance operations. This role monitors annual plans and statewide project life-cycles—tracking key dates, completion milestones, budgets, and expenditures. The Manager ensures high data accuracy through routine audits, assists county organizations with Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) documentation and assistance, and monitors core maintenance plan progress (including ditching, mowing, stabilization, and patching). In addition, the manager compiles district-wide financial and operational reports for upper management and the Central Office in Charleston. Travel may be required to attend meetings and training. Valid driver's license is required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications **Preference may be given to Candidates with these qualifications** TRAINING/EDUCATION Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university. Substitution: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a professional, administrative, technical, or supervisory position may substitute for the required training/education on a year-for-year basis, through an established formula. EXPERIENCE Three (3) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a professional, administrative, technical, or supervisory position. Substitution: Successful completion of graduate coursework from a regionally accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis, through an established formula. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT Travel may be required; therefore, a valid driver’s license is required.
