Transportation Operations Assistant

Job Summary Call JPaul is seeking a reliable and organized Transportation Operations Assistant to support daily transportation activities and help ensure smooth, efficient service operations. The ideal candidate will assist with scheduling, coordinating transportation requests, communicating with drivers and customers, maintaining records, and monitoring daily service activities. Key Responsibilities Assist with coordinating daily transportation schedules and service assignments. Support trip planning, route coordination, and dispatch activities. Communicate with drivers, customers, and team members regarding schedules and service updates. Monitor transportation activities and report delays or operational issues. Maintain accurate transportation records, trip logs, and service documentation. Help process transportation requests and confirm scheduling details. Assist with resolving routine customer service and scheduling concerns. Coordinate vehicle availability and report maintenance or operational concerns. Ensure assigned paperwork and records are completed accurately. Follow company procedures and applicable transportation safety requirements. Provide general administrative and operational support to the transportation team. Requirements and Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in transportation, dispatch, logistics, or administrative support is an advantage. Strong communication and organizational skills. Basic computer skills and familiarity with scheduling or recordkeeping systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities. Good problem-solving and time-management abilities. Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Work Environment This position may involve working in an office or transportation operations setting. The role requires regular communication with drivers, customers, and other team members. Flexibility and the ability to respond to changing schedules and operational needs are important.
