Transportation Manager

Job Overview The Pupil Transportation Manager is responsible for all secretarial and clerical duties necessary to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the office. The work of this position involves assignments requiring thought and judgment within the framework of established systems and procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; Prior experience in school transportation preferred; New Jersey Transportation Coordinator certificate a plus; Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing pupil transportation; Knowledge in computerized communications and data systems; Knowledge of student data/routing in transportation database, Transfinder Plus preferred. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills; Experience with daily operations of a school transportation department; Keen attention to detail; Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. This is a 12-month position that offers a pleasant work environment, competitive salary ($55,000 to $70,000 contingent upon experience), vacation and holiday schedule and health/dental package.
