Mainline AviationTransportation Manager Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable High Lift Transportation Manager to oversee daily transportation operations, including high-lift driver, vehicle scheduling, deliveries, safety, and compliance. The transportation Manager will ensure that transportation activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule while maintaining excellent communication with drivers, operations teams, and management. Key Responsibilities · Manage and supervise high-lift drivers and transportation personnel. · Coordinate daily driver schedules, routes, deliveries, and assignments. · Monitor transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient service. · Ensure drivers follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable DOT regulations. · Maintain accurate driver, vehicle, inspection, and transportation records. · Monitor vehicle and equipment conditions and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed. · Conduct or coordinate driver training, safety meetings, and performance evaluations. · Address driver attendance, performance evaluations. · Address driver attendance, performance, and operational issues promptly. · Ensure all required driver qualifications, licenses, certification, and documentation remain current. · Assist with DOT compliance, including maintaining required records and documentation. · Communicate with management regarding transportation needs, staffing, scheduling, and operational concerns. · Respond to transportation issues, delays, accidents, or other emergencies and take appropriate action. · Help identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency and reduce operating costs. · Endure drivers and transportation personnel maintain a professional and customer service oriented approach. · Perform other transportation and operational duties as assigned. Qualifications · Previous experience in transportation, logistics, fleet management, or a related field. · Previous supervisory or management experience preferred. · Knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety requirements. · Strong organizational and time management skills. · Ability to manage multiple drivers, schedules, and priorities. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. · Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. · Valid drivers license and clean driving record. · Must be willing to work flexible hours based on transportation and operational needs. Physical Requirements · Must be able to stand and remain on their feet for extended periods of time. · Must be able to walk, bend, stoop, and occasionally lift or move items as required. · Must be able to work in various weather and operational conditions.
