Transportation Dispatcher LED Transportation | Canton, Ohio Full-Time · Monday–Friday · 6:00 AM–3:00 PM LED Transportation is seeking an organized, dependable, and quick-thinking Transportation Dispatcher to join our team. This position plays an important role in coordinating daily transportation operations across our disability and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT), school transportation, and executive and luxury transportation services. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, thinks on their feet, communicates effectively, and manages multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. This role requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, computer proficiency, and the ability to adapt quickly when schedules or transportation needs change. The Transportation Dispatcher coordinates drivers, vehicles, passengers, routes, and customer communications to help ensure safe, timely, professional, and efficient transportation services. Key Responsibilities Answer incoming phone calls and communicate professionally with clients, drivers, and LED team members. Coordinate and schedule drivers for daily transportation assignments. Confirm routes, trip details, schedules, pickup times, and transportation arrangements. Enter, update, and maintain accurate trip and scheduling information in the dispatch system. Utilize dispatch systems, tracking and mapping tools to monitor routes and coordinate drivers. Communicate schedule changes, route adjustments, and other important updates promptly and accurately. Assist with resolving scheduling conflicts and unexpected transportation issues using sound judgment and quick decision-making. Monitor daily operations to help ensure transportation assignments are completed efficiently and on schedule. Perform additional dispatch and administrative duties as needed to support the team. Qualifications and Skills Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to think quickly, prioritize tasks, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal communication skills and a professional, clear, and courteous telephone manner. Computer proficiency and the ability to learn and navigate dispatch systems, GPS tracking and mapping software. Familiarity with Samsara and Limo Anywhere dispatch software is a plus Understanding of scheduling, logistics, routing, or transportation operations is preferred. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities.
