Transportation Director Rogers Services Southeast, Inc/Rogers Landworks, LLC is seeking an experienced Transportation Director to oversee our trucking and heavy-haul operations. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for driver management, DOT/FMCSA compliance, permitting, safety, fleet maintenance, shop coordination, and overall transportation operations. Responsibilities Oversee daily trucking operations and CDL drivers Coordinate scheduling, dispatch, and equipment availability Pull and manage oversize/overweight permits and route requirements Maintain DOT/FMCSA compliance Maintain Driver Qualification files and required documentation Manage DOT drug and alcohol program and Clearinghouse requirements Handle transportation-related new hire onboarding Oversee driver safety, inspections, training, and corrective action Manage truck and trailer maintenance and repair orders Coordinate shop workflow and repair priorities Track breakdowns, out-of-service equipment, and fleet readiness Order and maintain chains, binders, flags, signs, parts, safety equipment, and shop inventory Maintain transportation, maintenance, inspection, permit, and compliance records Communicate operational, driver, equipment, and safety issues with management Required Experience This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have previous professional experience managing commercial trucking or transportation operations. Qualified applicants should have experience with: DOT/FMCSA regulations and compliance CDL driver management Driver Qualification files DOT drug and alcohol programs FMCSA Clearinghouse Oversize/overweight permitting Commercial trucking operations Fleet maintenance and repair coordination Shop operations, repair orders, parts, and inventory Heavy-haul and oversize transportation experience is strongly preferred. Strong leadership, organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through are required.
