Trailer Technician

Trailer Technician $25–$40 per hour Preventative Maintenance Industries (PMi) Preventative Maintenance Industries is seeking a qualified Trailer Technician / Mechanic to perform trailer repairs, preventative maintenance, and annual inspections for our contracted fleet customers. This position involves onsite service work and requires a technician capable of working independently while maintaining safety and compliance standards. Schedule 5 × 8-hour shifts Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday schedules available Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform FIA, DOT, and preventative maintenance (PM) inspections according to customer and regulatory standards Diagnose and repair air brake systems, lighting, and electrical systems using company diagnostic tools including the AlphaMutt Trailer Tester Inspect trailer components including brakes, suspension, axles, hubs, and structural components Repair or replace defective parts and components to ensure trailers remain safe and roadworthy Complete annual inspection documentation and service reports in accordance with customer procedures Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment Communicate repair needs and maintenance findings with fleet managers and customers Preferred Experience Welding or fabrication experience Trailer body or structural repair experience Knowledge of trailer brake, suspension, and electrical systems PMi Requirements Possess most required technician tools Valid driver’s license Ability to lift up to 75 lbs Ability to stand and work for the majority of the shift Ability to work independently at customer locations Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour Work Location: In person
