Position Overview Reporting to the Site Supervisor, the Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) is responsible for leading traffic control crews and overseeing safe work zones in accordance with BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) guidelines and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. The TCS plays a critical role in planning, directing, and maintaining safe work zones on active construction and maintenance sites. This position involves reviewing and implementing approved Traffic Management Plans, directing TCPs and LCTs, and monitoring traffic flow, crew performance, and site conditions throughout the shift. The TCS communicates clearly with the Site Supervisor, clients, equipment operators, and the public to address hazards, changing site conditions, and traffic disruptions. A strong commitment to safety, leadership, and regulatory compliance is essential. The TCS must remain alert at all times, ensure crews follow established procedures, and take immediate action to prevent unsafe conditions, ensuring the safety of workers, motorists, and pedestrians.
