TRAFFIC CLERK
ConfidentialJob Description We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Traffic Clerk to join our team. This position supports the daily movement and documentation of import shipments and requires frequent communication with customers, transportation carriers, drivers, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Duties include, but are not limited to: Prepare and submit entry documentation to U.S. Customs for imported products. Prepare and transmit Bills of Lading and other shipment documentation. Complete CBP Form 7501 and related customs documentation. Communicate with customers, transportation carriers, drivers, and CBP agencies regarding shipments and documentation. Assist callers with general inquiries, including directions, driver check-in, and shipment status. Enter, retrieve, and maintain shipment and customer information using computer systems. File and maintain accurate records, reports, and related documentation. Provide professional and courteous customer service. Perform other traffic and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills: Bilingual in English and Spanish ; strong verbal and written communication skills in English required. Computer literate with the ability to accurately enter, access, and retrieve information. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to communicate effectively with customers, drivers, carriers, and government agencies. Ability to maintain accurate records and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to understand and follow company security procedures and CTPAT requirements . Previous experience with customs documentation, freight forwarding, logistics, transportation, or traffic operations is preferred but not required. Schedule: Overtime may be required based on business needs. Alternating weekend work is required. Employment Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must successfully complete a background check. Must successfully complete required drug screening/testing. Must be able to meet applicable CTPAT security requirements.
