CardsHQTCG In-Store Buyer Location: Detroit, Michigan Starting Pay: $16.00 - $22.00/hr (Experience and Expectations Dependent. We are seeking a skilled Buyer who is passionate about trading cards and capable of sourcing high-quality inventory for our store while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Position Overview: As a Buyer, you will play a critical role in purchasing and sourcing TCG cards, and graded cards to keep our inventory well-stocked. You will be responsible for maintaining accuracy in inventory records, building relationships with customers, and ensuring that all transactions are conducted professionally and efficiently. Your ability to communicate effectively and make swift purchasing decisions in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success. Positions are Full-Time. Open Availability with Weekends is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Purchase and source individual TCG cards and graded cards for store inventory at in-store buying desk. Log and track all purchased inventory with attention to detail and accuracy. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Evaluate and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive sourcing of card inventory. Stay up to date with market trends, new releases, and price fluctuations within the trading card industry. Ensure all purchases align with customer demand and store sales goals. Collaborate with the team to manage stock levels and maintain product availability. Ownership of your metrics and outcomes Skills and Experience We Value: Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in retail, sales, or purchasing. Strong communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and close transactions effectively. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Passion for trading card games and an understanding of TCG card markets. Familiarity with various online marketplaces, including Whatnot, Fanatics Live, and eBay. Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift heavy items as needed. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.
