The Apollo Group - Ashore OperationsWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Export Coordinator / Export Specialist to manage and coordinate international export shipments from the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating orders, preparing export documentation, communicating with customers and international partners, and ensuring shipments are processed accurately and in compliance with applicable U.S. export regulations. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Coordinate export shipments from Florida to international destinations. Prepare and review commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other export documentation. Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, carriers, warehouses, and customers. Schedule ocean, air, and ground transportation as required. Track shipments and provide customers with timely status updates. Verify product, quantity, pricing, shipping, and consignee information before shipment. Assist with export compliance and ensure documentation meets applicable U.S. requirements. Work with customers and international distributors to resolve shipping and documentation issues. Enter and maintain shipment and customer information in company systems. Obtain freight rates and coordinate shipping arrangements when required. Monitor shipment deadlines and proactively communicate potential delays. Maintain accurate export records and documentation. Assist the sales and operations teams with international customer requirements. Support the preparation of export reports and other administrative duties. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in export, import/export, logistics, freight forwarding, international sales, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of international shipping and export documentation. Familiarity with ocean and/or air freight processes. Understanding of Incoterms and international commercial transactions. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, particularly for positions serving Latin American and Caribbean markets. Export Compliance The employee will be expected to follow applicable U.S. export-control and trade compliance requirements and company procedures. Experience with U.S. export regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), Automated Export System (AES), Schedule B/HTS classification, denied-party screening, and export documentation is preferred.
