Towing Dispatcher

Dispatcher - Full-Time Riddle's Towing is looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our dispatch team! Riddle's Towing is a family-owned and operated, rapidly growing towing and roadside assistance company. Our dispatch center is an important part of our operation, coordinating service calls between our customers, drivers, law enforcement agencies, and the companies we operate. We currently work closely with 8 law enforcement agencies to provide towing and roadside assistance services to our community. No previous towing or dispatch experience is required. We will train the right person. What matters most to us is your attitude, dependability, ability to learn, and willingness to work as part of a team. What You'll Do: Our dispatchers are responsible for keeping our operation moving. This is a fast-paced position where priorities can change quickly, so you must be comfortable staying organized while handling multiple things at once. Your responsibilities will include: Answering incoming customer and service calls Dispatching towing and roadside assistance calls to drivers Communicating with customers, drivers, law enforcement, and other agencies Prioritizing calls based on urgency and available resources Entering and updating information using our computer systems Monitoring active calls and following up when necessary Solving problems as they arise Handling multiple phone calls and tasks at the same time Providing dispatch services for all of the companies we currently own and operate Maintaining professional communication with customers and drivers Following company procedures and adapting to changing circumstances Training: Don't have dispatch experience? That's okay — we'll train you! Training will be conducted during 1st shift. The length of training will depend on the individual and how quickly they are able to learn our systems and procedures and operate independently. Our goal is to make sure you are comfortable and confident in the position before you are expected to handle the job on your own. We are looking for someone who is: Dependable - you show up when you're scheduled Motivated - you're willing to learn and improve Comfortable with computers and able to learn new software Professional on the phone and able to communicate clearly with customers A problem solver who can think through unexpected situations Able to multitask and prioritize several things at once Calm under pressure and able to work in a high-stress environment Open to constructive criticism and willing to learn from mistakes Adaptable - our business changes throughout the day, and you need to be comfortable with that A team player who understands that dispatch, drivers, and management all have to work together Requirements: Clean criminal history Must pass required drug and alcohol screening Basic computer experience Strong verbal communication skills Ability to interact professionally with customers over the phone Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Dependable attendance Pay & Time Off: Starting pay: $13.58/hour Pay increases to $14.58/hour after 90 days , based on successful completion of the introductory period Paid weekly 2 weeks of paid time off after 1 year of employment About Riddle's Towing We're a small, family-owned business that is continuing to grow , and we believe the people who work with us are an important part of that growth.
