Responsibilities Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional models, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely. Perform vehicle diagnostics and minor mechanical repairs as needed to prepare vehicles for towing or delivery. Secure vehicles properly using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit. Conduct basic vehicle troubleshooting to identify issues that may affect towing or transport operations. Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring safe vehicle loading onto tow trucks following safety standards. Manage vehicle recovery towing operations, including accident scenes or breakdowns, with professionalism and urgency. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, dispatchers, and emergency responders while maintaining a positive attitude. Experience Proven experience in automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanical work is highly desirable. Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record; experience in commercial truck driving preferred but not required. Hands-on experience with flatbed tow trucks or other specialized towing equipment is a plus. Knowledge of cargo securement protocols, vehicle mechanics for truck drivers, and safe vehicle loading procedures. Strong understanding of manual transmission operation and basic vehicle troubleshooting techniques. Ability to manage conflict effectively in high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism. Prior experience in vehicle recovery towing or car towing services will set you apart.
