A day in the life of an Associate Allocator at The North Face looks a little like this. You’ll play an integral role in supporting The North Face Direct-to-Consumer business across North America, helping ensure our retail locations have the right product, in the right quantities, at the right time. In this role, you’ll execute monthly floor sets and manage ongoing store replenishment by monitoring inventory at the location and size level. You’ll use sales and inventory performance to determine appropriate stock levels, maintain strong assortments and size availability, and identify opportunities to maximize sales and profitability. You’ll partner closely with Buying and Planning to support financial objectives while contributing to both day-to-day allocation decisions and the broader DTC strategy. You’ll also work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Visual, Store Operations, Logistics, and Distribution Center teams to ensure inventory is aligned with business and store needs. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. Build strong cross-functional partnerships with Buying and Planning to develop allocation strategies that support DTC financial goals. Execute initial floor sets in alignment with assortment strategies, in-store visual direction, window displays, and brand marketing stories. Analyze sales and inventory performance to determine allocation strategies by style, color, and size across regional, cluster, and store levels. Develop and manage replenishment models that balance sales demand, store capacity, and store contribution. Review performance weekly and recommend inventory adjustments as needed. Evaluate size-level selling by store to ensure appropriate availability and support a strong customer experience. Monitor and report inbound inventory flow in partnership with Buying and Supply Planning. Plan product distribution to stores and assess current and in-transit inventory against monthly and weekly forecasts, partnering with Store Operations, Logistics, and Distribution Center teams. Initiate store-to-store transfers and inventory consolidations based on product lifecycle, selling performance, and store-specific needs. Execute inventory transfers across channels, including wholesale, to capture sales opportunities and optimize inventory productivity. Complete quarterly and seasonal store grading and clustering to support more effective assortments and inventory placement. Partner on assortment and inventory strategies for new stores, remodels, and relocations, and maintain store attributes as locations and business needs change. Build strong relationships with regional and district field leaders to combine data-driven insights with local market knowledge and ensure the right product is in the right store at the right time. Participate in store visits, share findings, and recommend actions based on observed opportunities.
