Terminal Manager
Penn Tank LinesAbout the Role Penn Tank Lines is seeking a Terminal Manager to lead operations at one of our terminals. This role is responsible for overall terminal performance, including financial results, safety and compliance, service execution, customer satisfaction, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings strong operational judgment, takes ownership of results, and works effectively within a structured environment where service, safety, and accountability matter every day. Core Responsibilities Lead terminal operations with accountability for cost control, service performance, profitability, and overall business results Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, address performance gaps, and implement practical improvements Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies across terminal operations Maintain accountability for service levels, fleet utilization, and customer commitments while resolving operational issues as they arise Develop and implement transportation strategies that support profitability, service objectives, and efficient execution Build and maintain strong customer relationships to ensure consistent service delivery and support business retention Hire, train, coach, and manage terminal staff and drivers in accordance with company policies and performance expectations Partner with internal teams to support process improvements, operational consistency, and long-term terminal success Required Skills & Abilities Strong leadership capability with experience managing employee performance, accountability, and day-to-day execution Sound decision-making and comfort taking initiative in a role with direct operational responsibility Ability to interpret financial and operational data and turn insights into action Clear and effective communication skills across employees, customers, and leadership Working knowledge of transportation management systems, dispatch operations, and hours-of-service regulations Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel Ability to balance responsiveness, structure, and follow-through in a fast-moving operational setting Willingness to support a schedule aligned with business and service requirements Other Requirements Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management About Us Penn Tank Lines is a privately held transportation company with over 50 years of experience moving fuel and bulk products safely and efficiently.
