Role summary: The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for maintaining safe, clean, and efficient exterior facility operations. This role ensures compliance with safety and environmental regulations while managing equipment, performing seasonal maintenance, and coordinating repairs. The technician supports cost control through effective sourcing and budget management, leads third-party providers, and delivers quality service to meet facility and customer needs. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, adherence to company policies, and a commitment to operational excellence in maintaining facility standards and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. About the team: The Facility Services team ensures safe, efficient, and well-maintained environments that support Walmart’s operational goals. Specializing in exterior services, the team operates equipment and follows preventive maintenance and safety protocols to maintain facility reliability. Team members collaborate across departments to uphold high standards and foster strong partnerships. What you'll do: Operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment following safety and certification standards. Perform seasonal exterior maintenance including snow and ice management to ensure safe facility conditions. Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot facility issues to meet operational standards. Manage vehicle maintenance, safety checks, and documentation compliance. Coordinate purchases and control costs by sourcing parts, equipment, and supplies. Lead third-party providers and support associate development through coaching and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company policies while promoting a safe and ethical work environment. What you'll bring: Proven ability to operate and maintain heavy machinery and powered equipment safely and efficiently. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations with experience ensuring compliance in facility services. Strong skills in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving customer concerns. Experience managing budgets, cost controls, and procurement of parts, materials, and equipment. Ability to lead third-party providers and coach associates to promote professional growth. Competence in performing seasonal exterior maintenance, including snow and ice management. Effective communication and collaboration skills to support operational priorities and safety standards.
