This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to impactful, mission-critical initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of federal software modernization initiatives, including scope, schedule, staffing, risks, dependencies and task-order deliverables. Develop and maintain integrated project schedules in Microsoft Project and manage epics, boards, backlogs and delivery metrics in JIRA. Maintain project documentation, deliverables and governance records in SharePoint or Confluence, ensuring information remains current, organized and accessible. Prepare and deliver monthly financial, staffing, schedule, risk and status reporting in accordance with federal task-order requirements. Keep the Modernization Approach, Architecture Plan (ADRs), Code Analysis and Technical Brief current, and brief the technical team. Drive open decisions on .NET framework, third-party control policy, the Software Integration Coding Standard and tool templates. Coordinate technical reviews of .NET architecture, WPF applications, MSBuild processes and code-scan results, translating findings into clear decisions and tracked actions. Oversee SQL Server and Microsoft Access data activities, including schema design, migration, import/export staging, test-data management, backup, recovery and performance considerations. Coordinate AWS-hosted workloads across EC2, S3, RDS, IAM and VPC, including cloud cost, access management and FedRAMP security requirements. Plan and coordinate test instrumentation and data-acquisition activities at full-scale pavement test facilities, including sensors, DAQ hardware, sampling and calibration. Scope, staff and evaluate AI and machine learning work involving supervised learning, regression, neural networks, large language models and retrieval-augmented generation for engineering data. Oversee the AI model lifecycle, including data preparation and labeling, training, validation against physics-based or golden results, deployment, monitoring and drift management.
